Shahiya.com is expanding its team and is looking for a MANAGER who will be responsible for leading the development of the website.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of shahiya.com, and to see the impact of both your technical and managerial work on the success of a leading Arab social website.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Communicating to management the status, problems, delays, opportunities and risks related to the development work on shahiya.com.
* Planning of new development work on shahiya.com, including defining the specifications of development tasks, as well as their structuring, prioritization, and scheduling.
* Managing the implementation of development work on shahiya, covering allocation of tasks, monitoring progress of work, and controlling quality of work done.
* Implementation: He will engage and participate in the development work on shahiya.com. He has to be able resolve any technical difficulties that the IT team may face.
* Research related to IT solutions and features that are necessary for the successful evolution of shahiya.com as THE social website on food in the Arab world.
The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO.
Skills
Management: the successful candidate MUST:
- have managed a team of developers
- possess excellent written and oral communication skills

- be a good team worker with the ability to lead and motivate his team
IT: the successful candidate MUST:
- have 3 years experience in completing full project cycles or products in website development using asp.net, vb.net, javascript, and MS SQL
- have 3 years experience in multi-tier applications and architecture under vb.net with knowledge of SQL server development (functions) and database architecture
- have experience in using adobe photoshop, illustrator for website development
- have experience with software development collaboration utilities such as VSS (Visual Source Safe) cvs, svn
- have knowledge of IIS management and optimization
