Responsibilities and Duties:
- Developing programming code from scratch or by adapting existing website graphics packages and software to meet business requirements. Ensuring accuracy through standards, both in quality and branding on all web sites.
- Testing websites and identifying technical problems and bugs.
- Establishing purpose and objective of websites based on its target audience.
- Determining any functionality that the site must support and developing PHP content accordingly.
- Participating in the overall development & design structuring of websites.
- Developing relational database systems.
Reporting:
- Reviewing and prioritizing problem reports.
- Documenting progress of development effort.
- Maintaing records including problem documentation and actions taken.
- Escalating any risks and issues to management.
Environmental::
- Must be able to work under general supervision in a team-oriented environment with regular reviews of work effort.
- Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art Web technology, participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
- Uses discretion in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments.
Skills
- Proficient, in depth and proven experience in PHP, JavaScript, CSS and (X)HTML knowledge.
- Strong database knowledge specifically in MySQL.
- Web / Graphical Design skills would be desirable.
- Skills in web programming
- Creativity and imagination
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques and technology
- Must be able to stay on top of advancing internet and computer technology and its effects to the business environment
