The Institutional Research & Assessment Office is currently searching for an Information Officer to be located in Beirut Campus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Collects data from internal and external sources and then analyzes and disseminates the information for use in planning, decision-making and policy formulation.
- Responds to diverse requests for data from the internal constituencies and provides support for the analysis and dissemination of data for strategic planning, academic planning and enrollment management.
- Responds to diverse requests for data from the external constituencies and provides support for recurring projects including institutional and program accreditation, annual data summaries, as well as regulatory and research entities that LAU is accountable to.
- Has access to and is responsible for reporting from University databases and ensuring the integrity of the data being reported.
- Acts as a liaison between the IT department and the various units of the University for providing data in required format.
- Supports in the preparation of the annual fact book with data related to students, faculty, staff and facilities.
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as required.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Business, MIS or Computer Science from a renowned university.
- 1-3 years work experience in a similar job.
- Excellent verbal and written English and Arabic skills.
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Applications, especially Excel.
- Office management and research skills. Knowledge of SPSS is a plus.
- An analytical person capable of critical thinking.
- Good in computation and trend analysis.
