The System and Network Administrator operates under the supervision of the IT manager, manages a Windows, UNIX or similar computer network with up to hundreds workstations; performs a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to enable users to maximize productivity. Assists in planning and development of network resources, to ensure the provision of a high performance, fault tolerant systems and network infrastructure; to work with the Head of IT/IS on the development and revision of the IT Strategy; to provide leadership and co-ordinate the work of the corporate Network and Systems team.
Qualifications
- High degree in computing related discipline
- Commercial certification adequate with skill set and experience including MCSE and CCNA/CCNP or with equivalent experience
- Extensive (minimum 5 years) experience of systems and network administration.
- High level systems designs and architecture (3 years +)
- Staff/team management (2 years +)
