- BA in Computer Science or similar discipline
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web development at a web solutions company
Technical Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft project, Adobe Photoshop, Flash, DreamWeaver (CS5) and SharePoint designer 2010
- Advanced knowledge of PHP/MySQL 5, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Flash Action-script (AS3 is a plus)
- Experience in web development: develop the look and feel for sites based on the designs, following the W3C standards and the best practices for SEO and browsers compatibility
- Experience in SharePoint branding: The candidate should have a knowledge in SharePoint designer and how to apply a design on a SharePoint site.
- Experience in Flash Action-script: The candidate should have experience in flash and how to develop dynamic websites using Action-script and XML
- Experience in Content Management Solutions (CMS): The candidate should have experience in how to develop a website based on a CMS solution (Joomla CMS is a plus)
- Experience in Search Engine Optimization and web marketing: The candidate should have experience in applying the best practices for SEO and on how to enhance a website ranking in Search Engines
- Advanced knowledge in web standards: browser usability, cross-platform compatibility, SEO techniques, etc.
Role
- Ability to analyze and define an optimized solution for a website.
- Strong skills in installing and configuring the needed environment for deploying PHP websites, Apache server, PHP and MySQL
- Fluency in web design and development softwares, such as Adobe Photoshop, Flash , Dreamweaver, Visual Studio and FTP softwares
- Knowledge of Website structure and functionality.
- Responsible for the website deployment and testing.
- Strong conceptual skills, including online software concepts and online experience concepts
- Strong skills and ability to write Functional and Requirements Specifications documents.
- Strong skills in planning and estimating tasks
- Ability to manage a team and assign the suitable tasks for them
- Has demonstrated successful development, and the delivery of projects on time and within the given budget.
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Solid understanding of client deliverables, and the ability to take responsibility for them.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential for a fast-paced environment
