VIPTECH is looking for a motivated, self-starter Windows Senior Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will have experience managing geographically dispersed Windows forests and domains for large scale enterprise
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure and troubleshoot all versions of the Windows Server family operating system & industry standard infrastructure applications.
- Provide operational tier 3 support as well as work direct with internal customers.
- Responsible for performance analysis and corrections for Windows servers.
- Identify and solve complex systems administration issues.
- Identify potential solutions to resolve and prevent future service interruptions.
Qualifications
- Experience in administering large scale Microsoft Windows Server 2003 & 2008 environments.
- Good understanding of various server applications such as IIS, SCCM, SCOM, DNS, Group Policy, Certificates, FTP/SFTP.
- Well versed in scripting languages such as Powershell, VBScript...
- Other application familiarity a plus: PRTG Network Monitor, Bitdefender.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively explain, describe, or convey ideas in individual or group situations.
- Highly self-motivated and driven, able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with minimal direction.
- Extensive troubleshooting skills are crucial.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Experience working closely in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Professional demeanor appropriate for mature enterprise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent work experience
Specialized Certifications are a Plus:
MCITP - Server Administrator
MCITP - Enterprise Administrator
MCSA - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
MCSE - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
