Visualizing Impact is looking for a talented web developer with a strong front end profile and the ability to manage basic back end tasks. Experience in HTML5, Javascript, and CSS are required, as well as proficiency in object oriented analysis and design. Familiarity with at least one back end language such as PHP, Ruby on Rails, or Python is preferred. VI offers diverse, engaging work and competitive pay.
Role Description
- Creating visually appealing web pages or interfaces
- Connecting client experience with back end technologies
- Programming interaction with JavaScript and/or a library such as jQuery or Prototype
- Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility
- Work is to be carried out for VI, in close collaboration with any partner(s)
where relevant.
- The position is based in Beirut
- There will be a trial period of two months after which the position will be
based on a longer-term contract.
- Remuneration for the longer-term contract will be based on performance. A
review of performance will be held two months after the start date.
Remuneration will be disclosed upon application.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Required langauges: HTML5, Javascript and CSS
- Preferred familiarity with: PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails (or willingness to learn)
- Familiarity with object oriented analysis and design
