Key Goal:
- The Web Developer role is to manage, analyse, plan, develop and update the Company Intranet, the Internet/portal) and all web applications as well as their related databases.
Education:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
Experience:
- 3 to 4 years of experience in software and web development
- Experience in ASP.NET / VBSCRIPT / JAVASCRIPT / HTML5 / JQuery / SHAREPOINT is a must
- Strong knowledge of HTML/XHTML and CSS based markup
- Good understanding of AJAX
- knowledge and experience of SQL and database management, especially Oracle & SQL Server
- ITIL knowledge preferable
- Knowledge of common web hacking techniques: SQL Injection, cross site scripting, iframe hacks …
- Knowledge of best practices in security over the web: Customizing error message, encapsulating error returns, try-catch
- Knowledge of major authentication techniques such as: LDAP, OpenID, oAuth for twitter… is a Plus
- Knowledge of Mobile application development is a Plus
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develops the backend of web-based applications
- Composes the technical, functional and user manual documentations
- Contributes to the technical evolution of Company’s applications
- Tests products (Performance, Operation)
- Troubleshoots applications’ problems
- Trains the end users on applications
- Ensures security of the applications under his/her responsibility
- Produces and maintains the relevant technical and functional documentation and user documentation
