You will be an integral part of a well-supported team. The main role is to develop and maintain Websites and web applications using Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP and Drupal, Magento, Prestashop open source CMS
systems.
Accountabilities/Requirements:
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
- Participate in design sessions with developers
- Ensure code and design meets specifications, quality and security standards, and is maintainable & sometimes scalable.
- Work in collaboration with project teams to meet business goals
- Contribute to solution development, brainstorming and site documentation
- Development of standards compliant code - HTML, XHTML, CSS, AJAX, Java Script.
- Able to develop powerful, secured and manageable websites based on PHP and Drupal CMS.
- Evaluate and debug code to ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility in unfamiliar code
- Production for ongoing site maintenance and content updates
- Deliver creative development solutions within existing constraints and limitations
- Accountable for accuracy, project deadlines, and contributing to project completion
- Convey expert knowledge of current web trends, user experience and the project process
- Manage several concurrent assignments efficiently.
- Be willing to go the extra mile to get the job done, including occasional overtime.
- Good levels of communication. Both written and verbal
- Creativity and ability to learn and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL development
- Experience in developing database-driven websites with PHP 5.
- Experience building large-scale web applications and infrastructure
- Experience with web front-end development: W3C Compliant XHTML, CSS,
- JavaScript and libraries such as JQuery
