Lead Architect / Principal Architect - KSA

- Direct the Architecture team members and to develop and maintain the architecture.
- To Manage and allocate the Architects of different disciplines to participate in project design.
- Assign architects to govern project technology deliverables.
- Manage the process for the development of technology standards across the bank.
- Development & Update Architecture guidelines.
- Governance of the Architecture through projects reviews.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
FINANCIAL/MONETARY (REVENUE/COST)
- Manage the direct and indirect costs of the section within allocated budget
- Propose and recommend salary increases and bonuses for the direct reports.
- Manage the budget spending of projects or programs.
- Support the department head in ensuring that solutions planning, selection and development costs are in alignment with the IT budgets.

CUSTOMER/CLIENT (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL)
- Understand and document long and short term business strategies and requirements.
- Align IT architecture continuously with the business direction.
- Manage programs (group of projects) that evolve technology architecture to deliver long term business requirements.
- Communicate and educate business and IT on the impact of the business direction to the technology architecture.
- Provide consultancy to Other IT departments during major technology changes.

SUPPLIERS/VENDORS (REGULATORS/OTHERS)
- Guide Consultancy companies on technology directions and preferences.
- Get updates on the latest trends in banking technology from vendors.

PEOPLE/EMPLOYEE (UNIT & BANK WIDE)
- Monitor team members performance
- Coach and develop team members
- Manage the people and their performance in the section.
- Interview and recommend the selection of architects in the team as required
- Lead own learning and improvement.

INTERNAL PROCESSES/PRACTICES (PRODUCTIVITY/QUALITY/COMPLIANCE/REPORTING)
- Managing the development of the IT Architecture, tech. standards, policies and guidelines.
- Governance of the overall IT architecture development and implementation.
- Approval on the design of IT business and infrastructure solutions as a result of Architecture monitoring and control.
- Decision making on the evaluated vendors and solutions for suitability within the business and technical requirements.
- Perform impact analysis of major IT projects according to change control process.
- Identify and analyze business drivers impact on the architecture

RESOURCES UNDER MANAGEMENT
- Budget allocated to the section
- Direct Reports: 2-3 Lead Architects
- The custody of the overall IT Architecture artefacts.
- The custody of the overall technology standards.

QUALIFICATION / CAPABILITIES
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering,
- 15 years practical experience in architecting, designing, developing, and deploying IT Solutions or infrastructure;
- 3 years in management position;
- 5 years in IT project management;
- Experience in coordination & negotiation
