Job Purpose
Provide consultancy, implementation and support services for network infrastructure technologies issues. Responsible for gathering customer technical requirements and then carefully perform successful network installations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to determine requirements; define the scope of a project; plan timescales and the resources needed
- Assist in networks analyses and understand client's system specifications; travel to customer sites
- Assess the brief provided by the customer and systems/network analyst once a contract for a system has been awarded, consult with clients and colleagues
- Liaise with staff at all levels of a client organization; define software, hardware and network requirements, analyze problems and make recommendations
- Develop agreed solutions and implement the new systems; help clients with change-management activities; purchase systems, where appropriate
- Organize training for users and other consultants, and share lessons learned with other company members, through proper and detailed documentation of all support and project related calls
- Prepare documentation and present progress reports to customers
- Basic routing and switching and/or firewall configurations
- Create Microsoft Visio network design to assist in pre-sales initiatives, and after sales
- Document project implementations including but not limited to operation guide, configuration, IT policies, reports and the like
- Reports progress on a daily basis to Team Leader, Project Manager, and Client on actual work performed and % completion.
- Using the lab prior to applying live at the clients’ site. This should include checking the functionality of equipment and putting the proper configuration.
- Work on Remedy by closing tickets and properly documenting the solution and lesson learnt.
- Carrying out the tasks assigned by the implementation team by using EG’s tools (WebEx, 3G, etc.) for local or outsourced users.
- Closing OIL and support cases in a timely manner
- Provide network solutions to customer inquiries regarding Anti-Virus, network security, bandwidth capacity, and internet connectivity …
- Design, plan, install, test, and monitor new systems
Dynamics
- Continuous coordination with the Network Design & Installation Team Leader, Project manager on work performed
- Meet with clients to determine requirements and update them on work performed
- Travel to customers’ sites
Skills / Attributes
- BS in Computer Science or Information Systems, OR BE in Computer and Communication Engineering
- 1 to 3 years IT experience
- Intermediate TCP/IP and internetworking protocol knowledge
- Routing and Switching Protocols for LAN, VLAN, and WAN
- Security and Firewall Settings (VPN, DMZ, IDS…)
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to work in team environment
- Excellent organization skills with detail AND accuracy
- Excellent documentation skills with detail AND accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple small projects and installations
- Ability to understand and deliver high quality customer service
- Experience in IT operations and an actively contributing team member in project based work
- Strong computer literacy skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio…)
