To monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization. To install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software fault and solve technical problems.
Accountabilities:
- Installs and configures computer systems.
- Monitors and maintains computer system and networks.
- Responds to internal customer’s inquiries and solve technical problems, either over the phone or face-to-face.
- Runs network applications to support systems and users and supports new applications and sets up new users.
- Troubleshoots system and networks problems and diagnoses and solves hardware/software faults.
- Works continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
- Prioritizes and manages several open cases at one time.
- Conducts electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- Reports major problems and areas of non-compliance to management in order to ensure that a high level of IT service is maintained and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Tests and evaluates new technology.
- Performs other responsibilities and duties, as required.
Requirements
- University degree
- One to two years of work experience in the same field is required
- Computer skills
- Information technology skills
