Cloud Exadata Solution Architect - Oracle - Qatar

Responsible for creating an architecture and business case to support an Exadata opportunity in conjunction with the Oracle account team. This includes qualification discussions, architecture reviews, business workshops, solution architecting, financial modeling and business case building.

Detailed Description
This is a senior-level sales consulting position. The ideal candidate processes a breadth of knowledge and understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product families.

The Exadata Solution Architect
- Analyzes business needs to ensure Oracle solution meets customer objectives.
- Exercises creativity and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to create an architecture and business case to support an Exadata sale utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.
- Frequently operates at the leading edge of technology.
- Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle Exadata solutions and services to facilitate the closing of sales deals.
- Presents and demonstrates business proposals to customers.
- Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge.
- Knowledgeable of competition and external factors that may influence Oracle’s competitive position.

Profile
- 10+ years of experience relevant to this position including.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or Business or equivalent.
- Deep Oracle product, technology or business expertise.
- Experience with all aspects of database technology solutions
- Deep expertise in at least two of the following areas is desired: Oracle database, data warehousing, data security, maximum availability and performance architectures, system management.
- Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions around Oracle Exadata and Oracle Core Technology products
- Knowledge of competitive & partner products, technology and solutions.
- Proficient in using selling and negotiation techniques and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to travel as needed.

Other relevant experience
Oracle Database, data warehousing, VLDB Features and Oracle Exadata. Experience across industries like financial services, communications and public services a plus. Understanding of competitive industry appliances. Ability to understand the Cloud Computing principles and present the Oracle Cloud strategy.

- Demonstrate understanding of the implementation complexity with large scale database and infrastructure projects

Architecture Skills
- Act as a Solution Architect combining products from multiple Oracle pillars.
- Create solution architectures in conjunction with the customer that takes into account all layers of their infrastructure from storage to database to server.
- Build a data architecture that supports both OLTP and Data Warehousing.

Financial Management Skills
- Create financial models to express key areas such as TCO, ROI and Operating Budgets
- Communicate with senior management in relevant financial terms
- Prepare various scenarios that take into account all costs and benefits including Oracle and non-Oracle solutions
- Create risk models that are relevant to senior management in their terms
