UI Designer - Politnetz AG - Switzerland

Politnetz.ch is the social net for politics. We lower the bar for political engagement. Everything is politics and with us political interaction grows click by click from simple information seeking to discussions with your politicians. Politnetz brings all opinions to one place since we think that a collaborative effort in politics bring about better results and produces a space for your ideas and concerns.

Unfortunately, even we can‘t find every good idea on our platform. This is why we are looking for you as a creative head leading design and UI at politnetz. We want to develop with you how we can manage to make politnetz easier and more intuitive for a broad public. Jump on board and help us so that politics can loose its bad taste! To be a designer at politnetz is not just producing some nice campaigns for toilet paper or chewing gums. It‘s about doing something worthwhile and pushing user engagement on the web to the next level. Or put in other terms: Creating the interface to a better society.

Politnetz is around for about 2 years. The network has by now 10 000 registered members and a rich functionality in all areas of politics. For about a year we deliver content to the online newspaper 20Minutes and will start an equally important collaboration with the cross-media TV channel Joiz. For the upcoming national elections our goal is to achieve a wide awareness in Switzerland and to bring our vision and ideas to every Swiss household. Being a designer at politnetz you will talk to a broad and very mixed audience.

We expect from you a strong background in web design as well as usability and interface design. Good knowledge of HTML/CSS are a must-have, knowledge in Javascript (JQuery) is a plus. You should be interested in what‘s going on on the web and where the trends are going. Tell us about your most intriguing questions, which blogs you like, which newsletters you are subscribed to and which media channels are important to you.

You can expect from us a dynamic and enthusiastic team. We put high priority on making the experience at politnetz genuine. As a start-up we are not interested in common company models and want to find out with you what‘s the best way to get it done and get real.
