As an IT Administrator at Cleartag, you would be responsible for designing, installing and maintaining corporate IT infrastructure for on-site personnel as well as installation and maintenance of customer web sites.
Requirements
- Over three years of experience working in IT administration.
- Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Novell networks, file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, CD ROM units, printers, and related equipment.
- Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, certificate creation/management, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
- Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems.
- Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
- Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
- Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Maintain site licenses for department/organization.
- Domain registration and management services.
- DNS Management.
- Proficient in Windows and Linux-based systems.
- Proficient in setting up and maintaining commonly used databases (MySQL, MSSQL, etc).
- Proficient in setting up and maintaining commonly used web servers (IIS, Apache, etc).
- Ability to deploy and maintain web sites using external hosting services such as Amazon, Rackspace, etc.
- Understanding of different hosting platforms and capabilities, including cloud-computing, load balancing and instance management.
Additional Skills Desired
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT.
- IT certifications: MSCE, A+, CCNA, MCP, Network+, CISSP, MCSA, ITIL, Security+, Linux+.
- Knowledge of software programming languages such as PHP, C#, Java.
- Knowledge of common Content Management Systems (Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, etc).
