Mayflower is seeking a Web & Mobile Software Developer to lead application development across mobile and the web. It is a job that requires experience and enthusiasm in equal measure. You will use your knowledge of user interface design to deliver ground-breaking solutions for an exciting web start-up company. This is a hardcore programming position and requires serious development skills & experience.
Requirements
- Experience designing, building, debugging, and maintaining large-scale distributed web/mobile applications
- Strong Web & Mobile application design skills, including information architecture, interface design & visual design
- Excellent programming skills
- 5+ years experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS/Ajax/HTTP
- Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems - Conduct design and code reviews
- Arabic language skills a plus
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux
- Comfortable with agile techniques
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience building mobile websites/apps for a wide range of mobile platforms
- Experience with HTML5
- Previous start-up experience
- Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment and to work under pressure, typical of all start-up environments
- Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of the Muslim culture & lifestyle.
