Description
- Work with Creative and project teams to define the user model and interface for new and updated features and functionality
- Create user requirement specifications, including personas, scenarios, task analysis, flowcharts and organization and navigation models, detailed wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate the user experience and user interface elements
- Develop and present user experience recommendations to key stakeholders for large-scale complex initiatives
- Lead research efforts to understand user needs such as heuristics, usability testing, focus groups, web analytics and competitor evaluations to create forward-looking, usable and best in class new products
- Initiate and lead projects to improve overall site usability by continuously evaluating current user behavior and site design and structure
- Represent and advocate the user experience perspective and serve as a resource throughout the organization by answering questions, facilitating decisions, sharing opinions and perspectives and suggesting new and innovative ideas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in product design, interaction design, or human-computer interaction
- At least 5 years of experience designing large, complex websites or desktop and mobile applications that integrate database-driven content, including enhanced media with application-like functionality
- Strong interaction design and communication skills; solid understanding of UX principles
- Keen design sensibility and a passion for user experience, from high-level concept to pixel-level detail
- A proven track record collaborating on and distilling highly complex issues into easy-to-understand requirements
- A talent for synthesizing research, market trends, competitive data, etc. into concrete successful online experiences
- Proficiency with design software (e.g. Visio, OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks)
- Information architecture and visual design experience preferred
- Web-based, interactive applications experience
- Expert knowledge of integrating 3d, video, and audio assets into web-optimized environments
- Proficient in Adobe Flash (Action-script 3.0 preferred) for developing interactive prototypes
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Experience designing Mobile Web Application a plus
- Experience with Adobe After Effects and Autodesk Maya is a plus
- Strong ability to deliver projects rapidly and iteratively
- Strong ability to be open to input and critique for work that is concept-driven
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers
- Strong ability to work independently
- Strong ability to work in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced production environment.
- Advanced skill level of User Interface Design
- Proficient skill level of Front-end Web-Application Development
- Proficient skill level of Project Management
- A combination of formal training and experience amounting in at least 3 years of experience in Interactive Application and User Interface Design
- Experience or interest in Photography a plus
- Experience or interest in Auto Industry a plus
