- Receiving and interpretation of error reports from the clients
- Interpretation and documentation of error reports from clients
- Input provision for software test plans
- Creation and design of test scenarios for the testing of software programs
- Review and checking of test cases for software programs
- Keeping up to date with standards and requirements of software quality assurance as stipulated by software testing authorities
- Development and implementation of software program functionality tests
- Development and implementation of software program regression tests
- Preparation of reports on defects and problems that arise during software tests
- Tracking of reported problems and defects using tracking software
- Preparation of software evaluation test reports
- Implementation of developed test plans specific for software
- Provision of input for software test plans
- Designing of test cases for test plans
- Review of software test cases and checking of the test cases
- Keeping track of standards set by software testing authorities
- Performance of testing on functionality of software
- Reporting defects and problems that occurred during the test process

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline
- Training in Java, C++ and XML
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge and skills of modern test methodologies
- Knowledge of SDLC
- Proven problem solving skills
- Knowledge in skills and in the use of technologies for detecting and tracking defects
- Knowledge in concepts of databases
- Understanding and knowledge, methods and processes of quality assurance processes and methods used in software development
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good report writing skills
- Fluency of the English language
- The candidate is expected to be efficient, self-motivated, organized and a good communicator
- Flexible in terms of availability
