Think Media Labs, a research-based Digital Media Strategy agency, is seeking a talented PHP Developer to join the team. Ability and commitment is more important than current skill set. Looking for an energetic and creative software engineer, someone who is enthusiastic about social media, is professional, independent, and willing to do what it takes to generate business.
Responsibilities
- Develop software systems (PHP and MySQL Server)
- Create, maintain and develop documentation
- Diagnose and correct programming errors
- Work with other team members on design of software systems
Skills
- 2+ years of web development experience
- PHP5 - Candidate should be a top-notch PHP5 developer, familiar with the latest features in PHP 5.2.X and 5.3.X.
- MySQL - Modern database development expertise, words like 'trigger' and 'view' should be part of your vocabulary.
- XHTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX
- Object Oriented Development / CS Background
- Experience of object oriented programming / modular programming
- Understanding of MVC design patterns and frameworks
- Front-end development including jQuery
- Experience of the full software development life-cycle: from requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery (desirable, not essential).
- Commercial experience in Web Application development and / or software development
- Some knowledge of the Linux command line (desirable, not essential).
- Good levels of communication. Both written and verbal
- Excited about great code
- Excited about using sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Understand the Social Media value proposition
