The User Experience Coordinator will join the Applications User Experience (UX) user assistance team in Dublin on an 10-month intern basis. The Apps-UX team provides state of the art design patterns, standards and guidelines to Oracle’s development teams so they can deliver a highly intuitive and product usability experience to users of the Oracle Fusion Applications enterprise applications. The user assistance team also provides the infrastructure for the Oracle Applications Fusion Help portal and content.
The role will provide opportunities to learn more about user experience processes such as usability testing and design pattern creation, project coordination across different time zones, and to engage with a wide range of design and development professionals.
Enthusiasm and experience with web design, usability heuristics, social media, or cultural differences in how people work and behave is required. Experience with database and enterprise applications a definite advantage. A portfolio of work done will be requested.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, design, and delivery of Applications User Experience (UX) design patterns and guidelines for Oracle Fusion Applications and other products.
- Provide constructive feedback on reviews of user assistance and other areas design patterns, standards, and guidelines.
- Support usability testing efforts in Ireland and Europe.
- Coordinate deliverables for the global delivery of the Oracle Fusion Applications Help within an agile development process.
- Coordinate any customer or social media conversation feedback about Oracle Applications.
- Identify emerging trends and hot topics in user assistance and business applications generally (for example mobile apps, community forums).
- Create guidelines and checklists for global delivery of the Oracle Fusion Applications Help.
- Respond to forum or e-mail queries from product teams about user assistance components (messages, doc, help) creation and delivery
- Maintain websites with latest news and information about user experience research and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Studying or Completed a Computer Science, Engineering, Multimedia or equivalent degree. Subjects studied should include usability, user interface design, human computer interface studies or related areas.
- Experience of using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Visio or related design tool to design web sites or applications.
- Experience of conducting research at college level (focus groups, surveys) and analysing data.
- Working knowledge of computing architecture, mobile applications, databases and web or enterprise applications.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Results orientated, an ability to manage priorities is also expected.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Support activity on social media forums (boards.ie, for example) or in free and open source software or content development communities a definite plus.
- Second language an advantage.
