Information Technology Officer - ESCWA - Lebanon

The Information Technology Officer will be responsible for carrying out the following:
- Undertake research and prepare studies and parts thereof;
- Participate in the organization of expert group meetings and workshops in the Division’s substantive activities;

A first-level university degree with a combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience is required, including good understanding of ICT’s strategic direction, and ability to transform it into a result-oriented work programme. Experience in projects or activities related to information and communication technology for development. Experience in the context of a developing country is an advantage.
- English and French are the two working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Arabic is also a working language of ESCWA. For this post, fluency in written and oral English and Arabic is required.
